A gift for Dad?

My Dad’s a 70 year old retiree, who’s very healthy and active. He & my Mum have been blissfully happy for nearly 50 years. He seems to have everything! He tells me to just give him a card, but I can afford much better than that & I want to get him something special to show how much I appreciate him. I know he doesn’t want for anything, and he’s never been a materialistic guy anyway. But it’s ME. I want to give him something great!
He’s a golfer & plays indoor bowls. He’s a dancer & loves music, he likes watching dvds [new releases & old westerns], and making home movies of the family. He’s a dog lover & takes his baby for walks on the beach everyday. He’s travelled the world.
HELP! What can i give a man who’s always been happy with his lot in life, and doesn’t “need” anything???

A John Wayne TV Tray.

Hey don’t give up. Keep at the music til you get it.?

I agree with you guys about how easy it is to learn certain things when we’re younger. But at the same time I believe that no matter how late in life, if an interest in music sparked you, that means that its in you to play. Cause when you’re younger, you can grasp things easier, but then its the appreciation factor. But when you’re older you realize what you missed out on. And again, maybe it wasn’t the appreciation factor. It could of been sports, or writing, or other school activities that took the focus off of music. But you gotta give it to those kids who enjoy playing music and stick with it even after they finish school and even college. cause it is a beautiful thing. I really appreciate the feed back from yesterdays question.

That what I did learned to play the alto sax in the 7th grade and continue until now and I am in my 40’s. When I feel a certain way I pull Baby out of his case and just let loose. Especially on rainy days.

Would you like to get a new computer and wondering which system I requirerments?

I look forward to getting a new computer and ask what System requirerments everything I should have. For GHZ or we what is a good amount for a budget computer that I use for music, online video and PC games (eg Battlefield, World Of Warcraft), 2.0, 2.6? Also, how much RAM? 512 MB, 1 GB? Whats the lowest I should go RAM?

400 to $ 500 Dell will fit the bill. It was monitored for a free upgrade to 2 GB of memory, and I saw the last time. There is not anything you ask above. But to be more accurate. 2 GHz clock speed and 1 GB Rive of RAM and 160 GB is the minimum basic standards for a family computer in my area.

Classical Piano – Chopin Fiend on the lookout for more music?

Hey! ~ I’m in love with Chopin and classical music in general, and I consider myself very knowledgeable when it comes to style / movement, and composers throughout history. However, I would like to receive the recommendations from users of other musicians / composers like if I love Chopin?

Well, there are a lot of choice …! As mentioned earlier, you might want to hear Scriabin. His early works Chopinesque is pretty, but do not remain so – his later works are unique, full of sound and harmony Quart very exotic. Someone mentioned Robert Schumann. His Piano music is “personal.” If you have to hear it you feel that you are using a personal interview with the pianist. Chopin, not for However, it shall – he found it “odd.” If you love Chopin, you are obliged to love Franz Schubert. His Impromptus and late sonatas melancholic and very beautiful. And finally: When beautiful piano music is your fancy, Brahms wrote some of the best at the end of his life. Try op.116, 117, 118 and 119 The three pieces, include op.117 one of my favorite piano pieces.
