I am a senior in college pursing my degree in music education. Many people I know have ended up dropping out of student teaching and just getting a BA in music. They had panic attacks and bad experiences. I don’t want to be one of those people, and quite frankly, I’m really starting to hate the world of teaching.
However I would like to finish because I feel like I am pretty good at teaching.
I am wanting to pursue a career more in the music industry (working for a record label, managing artists, stuff like that). If I go post-undergraduate at another school when I graduate, would I have to take another four years for another degree, or would it just be two? Also, could I find a masters program for this at another college?
I will finish my undergrad with no debt or student loans either, so taking a loan out for this would be feasible.

That would depend on the university you’re getting to, in some university You can transfer grades for the same classes/credits, so you’ll have lees credit to finish and that means faster to graduate, i think you should check on those college you heading to…
Excuse me for asking, but where’s your campus right now? (campus, city/contry) Because it’s the same here (I’m in Indonesia), a lot (I mean like 80%) of the student DO in the middle of their road, some even have Dropped in the 1’st and 2′nd semester.
And even thou they’re finished they ussually take like 12-20 semester to finish while the curiculum is for 9 semester, the fastest record right now is 10 semester (rare), and if I could finish this semester, then I’ll make a new record of 9 semester
I’m also a music student, i’m in my last semester andI’m writing my thesis and will held my recital in February 2007.
