Some years ago I had the opportunity to chat with one of the greats of jazz guitar. I asked him if he always had a talent for music. He laughed and told me that in fact the opposite was true.

He told me that when he was a young student, his guitar was the timing so bad that it frustrates teachers the guitar from the hand break and would try to convey some basic rhythm in his young brain, looking at him and cried from the room and left, right, left, right.

He went on to say, if he tries to read music, that the sound that came from bore absolutely no resemblance to the piece he played. Nevertheless He was a musician who became famous for the ability to play all the notes placed in front of them and they play so good it was as if he had practiced it for years.

These stories fascinated me, and I asked him how he managed to made such a talentless beginnings and progress in the famous musicians go, that he had become.

He told me that he strongly believe that his ability was today because of his utter lack of talent. He said that he was so frustrated and embarrassed his hopeless Attempts to play music, which he swore that he would be the task, no matter conquer, what to do.

He also designed all kinds of exercises that help him develop a sense for rhythm and timing. He practiced reading scores up to the point where he read thousands of different pieces over the years. He took the challenge to music and devoted himself entirely to the task.

As he began to show the progress that he began to receive compliments from his astonished teacher and his fellow students who formally had laughed at him and teased. He started at the compliments, enjoy up to, what started out as a particular act of frustration, finally became a joy and Love of his life.

This gentleman is not the only story of its kind, if you take the time to read biographies, you'll find that in every area the effort, there are countless stories of people who grew up in spite, or because of a lack of talent in this area.

Then, talent, if not a necessary ingredient for success, is what?

If you opt for the joint development among those who lack in talent, you will notice that they had a strong emotional incentive to overcome to be successful, and they each had an all-consuming commitment to the implementation of the necessary tasks necessary for success.

If you want to be successful then the two features are developing for you.

First, you need a strong, emotional driving force behind the development of your success. This driving force could initially be based in a positive emotion or negative emotion. How long will you and keep going and They endeavor and achievement, it is again one day with love and passion for the chosen field.

Then you need to continue the commitment and keep, When you are knocked down to get up. If something is worth mastering, it's worth, bad for long enough to get the necessary skills to do it well, develop.
